While working in the massive field of HR, Shaleena saw the importance of structured policies and procedures, as well as emotional intelligence with regards to employees-was lacking within multiple organizations. As a result, she wanted to become more skilled in the areas in which there was a specific need, by becoming certified in Human Capital Strategy, as well as Human
Capital Management. Learning the importance of creating a competitive advantage and also
understanding that it starts with the organization’s most valuable asset-Human Capital…the employees!

During the pandemic-Shaleena wanted to focus on the importance of partnerships within an organization and decided to further her studies by obtaining the Human Capital Institute (HCI)’s certification for Strategic HR Business Partner (sHRBP). The yearning for more knowledge didn’t stop there, as she began obtaining further best practices, by studying and obtaining the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) certificates: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
